• Click on the Register link to open the game website/app.
• Select Join the Hunt!
• Enter your email address, click Continue.
• Enter your first and last name, the click Submit.
• Check your inbox for an email from Zite with the subject "Confirm your email". 
• Open that email and click the confirmation link.
• After you confirm, fill out the profile info, check the boxes to agree to the Participation Agreement, and the photo release box then click Continue.
• Last step! Select if you'd like to play as a team or if you'd like to play solo.
  • If you choose Solo you can change your mind and start a team anytime before registration closes.
• Check your email for the "Welcome to Operation: Mayhem!" email. Or jump right in by clicking to go to the Game Headquarters.

Solo Players - You're a team of one. You can complete challenges on your own, earn awards, and participate in all aspects of Operation: Mayhem!

Don't worry—you can create a team later if you decide you'd like some accomplices.

Active Team Members receive a login link after you invite them. Once logged in, they can:

• View THE LIST
• Claim challenges
• Submit entries
• View team submissions
• Update their profile

Use Active Member status for people who want to participate directly in the app.

Ghost Team Members are part of your team but don't use the game app. They: 

• Count as team members
• Can participate in challenges & complete tasks
• Are eligible for awards and badges
• Do not receive login links
• Cannot claim challenges
• Cannot submit entries

Use Ghost Member status for:

• Younger children
• Grandparents
• Less tech-savvy participants
• Any team members who want to join the fun without using the app

Create your team

If you chose to play as a team, your Welcome to Operation: Mayhem! email will invite you to Open the App and start inviting team members. Here is where you'll start:

• Your empty team will automatically be created for you.
  • You'll become the Team Captain. You can pass the Team Captian hat to another team member later if you want.
• The system will generate a temporary team name.
  • You can keep the generated name or change it to something more ridiculous.
• Teams may have up to 10 total members. This includes both Active Members and Ghost Members.

Invite Active Members

Choose your team carefully. (Or recklessly. We support both approaches.)

Enter the email addresses of the people you'd like to invite.  They'll receive an email inviting them to join your team. When they click the link:

• Their email will already be filled in
• They'll automatically be connected to your team
• They'll create their participant profile
• No passwords required.

Note: Only team captiains can invite members. If you've joined a team through an invitation and you want to invite other players, you can either send your Captian their email addresses or have the Captain pass the role onto you.

Your Team Page

Team Roster - Lists everyone currently on your team.

Ghost Members - Participants who are helping complete tasks but don't use the app.

Pending Invitations - People you've invited who haven't joined yet.

Actions you can take on the Team Page

• Send additional invitations
• Delete invitations
• Rename your team
• Add Ghost Members
• Request another teammate be Captain

There's nothing to download or install. No passwords are required.

Absolutely not. In fact, that would be nearly impossible.

This is a choose-your-own-adventure experience. Choose the list items that:

• Sound the most fun
• Match their interests
• Stretch their comfort zone a little
• Fit their schedule

Some teams carefully strategize to maximize points. Other teams simply pursue joy.  Both approaches are valid.

Operation: Mayhem! is about creativity, connection, community, and a healthy amount of harmless chaos.

Not at all. While there are several list items that are Chewelah-specific, over half the list items can be done from anywhere in the world!

You can also make reasonable adjustments to local tasks and do them in a similar location in your area (if you can't make the drive into Chewelah).

So, yes, even if you aren't local, we'd love for you to join the hunt!
