Combing your powers for good

Creative Collectives are groups of individual artists, creators, freelancers, or small business owners who share common resources and combine their expertise to work on projects that would have been otherwise impossible.

Think about the possibilities all around us. Imagine a rural filmmakers collective of screenwriters, videographers, editors, actors, and more. What could they create? Imagine a collective of local coders troubleshooting together. Sewers and knitters launching a wearable art fashion show.

This isn't new. There are already a handful of incredible local collectives learning and creating together. We want to see (and support) more!

The Chewelah Creative District is facilitating local industry & arts collectives to create opportunities for connection, collaboration, resource sharing, co-marketing, and more
we grow together
We're here to provide structure & support

We'd love to create opportunities that support your ideas for groups that would benefit from a organizing as a collective or cooperative. Please send your thoughts to info@chewelahcreates.org so we can get that conversation started!

Small Manufacturing Business Collective

We'd like to start a conversation with small-scale manufacturers in the Chewelah area. If you make a widgets, packaged food, or something else, please let us know if you're interested. This group could...

  • share distribution resources (like a shared delivery driver & route)
  • pool resources to lease a shared warehouse
  • share the costs of leasing larger facilities
  • share the cost buying specialized, high-end equipment
  • collectively hire specialized contractors (like designers, accountants, attorneys, etc)
  • and so much more!
